This mini lesson was interesting. It seemed very abstract to me and the artist had freedom to do what they want. I learned more about how to use gel medium and how to create different textures through paint, bubble wrap, etc. The style was straight forward. Put what you want on the paper then cover it with the gel medium. Voila, it sticks! I would say this piece turned out slightly successful. I wasn't really trying to make it great. I was just practicing mostly to get the feel of the medium. The slip of paper I received said 'Sunset" on it, so I tried to incorporate colors that you may see in a sunset. If I were to do this again, I think I would add more orange to the sunset. Also, I would keep my sketch book open while it dries instead of shutting it. I had to rip the pages apart later on. Overall, this was a fun mini lesson to end the class with. :)
